Message from the RAF Museum

The Spitfire 10K returns in 2016, join us for this very special event and help raise funds for the RAF Museum.

This year the event will be held at both the London and Cosford sites where 700 runners will have the opportunity to run 10k in an unusual setting in 1940's attire (if you wish!).

You have come through to the London event page so all information relates to the event on 3rd September 2016. For more information about the Cosford Spitfire 10K please click here.

Commemorate the 76th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain in style, starting and finishing in the magnificent surroundings of the RAF Museum in Colindale. The race begins in the shadow of the Avro Lancaster before taking you outside, run past a Bloodhound Missile, original wartime buildings, our Battle of Britain Hall and a Spitfire and Hurricane replica before leaving the museum for two loops of a flat road course. You will be awarded with an exclusive medal at the finish line, we will also have commemorative running t-shirts available to purchase in advance or on race day.

Facilities on site

Toilets, changing, bag drop, café and restaurant (open from 7am on race day), museum shop.

Please note: we do not allow on-site parking on race day. For information on local parking please go to the museum website event page

The nearest cash machine can be found off site at the local Tesco Express, just a 5 minute walk from the museum.

Run in Style

In 2015 we had a chap come dressed as a Spitfire - can you beat that? Why not have a go and come in war time fashion. Anything goes so get creative and you may even see yourself featured on our Facebook page after the event!

Entry Fee

Standard entry fee: £22.50

Discounted entry fee: £20.50 (running clubs and Armed Forces Personnel eligible)

Commemorative running t-shirt: £8 in advance of the event or £10 on the day

More bling sounds great to me.
